My fav place to eat in the Bis/Man area! Not a whole lot of Asian food places in the area, and many don’t do it well unfortunately, but Ichiban stands out! Everyone is super friendly and efficient in their service. The food is super good and you can’t go wrong with your order! My partner and I have ordered from their appetizers, sushi, ramen, hibachi, and entree menus and have been more than satisfied with all of it. Definitely one of the better food spots in town and for sure my favorite!
This place is really a diamond in the rough. I love going to this place for many reasons. The first thing I will say is that the service is probably one of, if not the best I've had at a restaurant. They work hard to make sure you are getting everything you desire, and they are always happy to serve you! It seems like a lot of restaurants have a younger group serving and they can seem distracted or just not interested in serving the customer well. The next thing is the food. The sushi at this place is really top notch. Some sushi I've had seems a bit sloppy when I compare it to this place. Every roll I've had has been great. All of the tempura items are perfection. I like to get the kung pow chicken or the Mongolian beef and add needles to them. These dishes are so unique and delicious that I find myself thinking about them and having to get them at least once a month or more. They just really get it right every time for me. I'm not a big ramen fan so I can't speak for that but for what I get there and the people that serve there I gotta just say it's probably my favorite place to eat in Bismarck. Food was excellent and the prices can't be beat. Servers were all very sweet and attentive. Will definitely be back! EDIT 2/27/2025: We've been back a few times now and it's still wonderful! I wanna bring some attention to the wait staff; they're all so sweet and charming and love to laugh. Paul was our waiter last time and he was really very attentive and friendly! I also love how they've started playing actual Japanese music in the dining area. I've always wanted that extra bit of immersion when eating somewhere that serves food from different countries. すくにもとってきます!

Great food with kind service. Tempuras were very fresh and crispy. Beef ramen was pretty decent. My kid loved their food and enjoyed our meal time. We love to go back to the place!
Best Asian food in town. The sushi is amazing. Haven't had a single bad dish. Claire is the best waitress. Always full drinks and she anticipates whatever you need. 10/10 always recommend.
Well I didn't think I'd be impressed, but I was. Ichiban is a littke secret hole in the wall with surprisingly good food. Our waiter was awesome and friendly. Fast and just all around cool. The atmosphere wasnt exactly quiet but not overly loud . My family and I will return for sure.
A great place to satisfy both omnivores and vegans alike. You can go as hearty or as light as you want. I opted for the lighter and safer side tonight with the bamboo steamer with tofu and made sure to ask for it to be vegan. The food came out and it was really good, the sauce being more of like a garlicky soy sauce which wasn't very sweet and paired well with the dish. Simple, but delicious. The staff was also very friendly here so you're in good hands.
